Barbara and Don Daseke, Chairs




Barbara and Don Daseke are long-time residents of Addison. Barbara is the owner of Barbara Elliott Interiors, a nationally known firm specializing in high-end hospitality and residential design projects.

Barbara is one of the most dynamic nonprofit fundraisers in North Texas and currently serves on the boards of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, TACA, SMU Meadows School of the Arts, the Tiffany Circle of the American Red Cross, the WaterTower Theatre, and the Dallas Zoo.

Don is the president & CEO of Daseke Inc., the largest owner and operator of flatbed / specialized trucking capacity in North America. Don has served his local community as a commissioner on the Planning & Zoning Commission for the Town of Addison (Texas), on the Town Council, and served as Mayor Pro Tempore in 2010.  He has served as a trustee at his alma mater, DePauw University, for many years.

Barbara and Don are strong supporters of the arts and charitable organizations including the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, The Arts Community Alliance (TACA) , WaterTower Theatre (the local theatre in Addison), the Cattle Baron’s Ball, and the Dallas zoo.

Barbara and Don have three children and four grandchildren.  They enjoy hiking and bicycling trips around the world.
